Holiday Travel Made Easy (Part 1)

Holiday travel doesn't need to be painful!

If you’re traveling this holiday season, chances are you’re spending more time than usual in front of the computer, trying to find the best deals, resorts, and flights.

Luckily for us, hotel search engine site Raveable just made your planning easier. Since launching only six months ago, Raveable has already risen to Travel and Leisure’s Top Travel Website for 2009, and with their new search engine features announced just today, they’ve made finding a hotel or resort a much quicker and more precise process.

I’ve been partnered with Raveable for several months now, and I am consistantly impressed with the service they provide. In the past, if you’re like me, you’ve googled the city you plan to stay in, then waded through hotel reviews from a multitude of different sites. Chasing each new ‘lead’ down a miriad of ‘rabbit holes’ online can take hours. With Raveable, you can enter your destination city, which will bring up reviews on hotels plucked from the best family travel blogs online (giving you real parent opinions) all in one place. Now, using their newest feature, you can refine your search by checking boxes that include features like ‘indoor pool’, ‘comfortable beds’, and ‘shuttle service’, among many others.

Since we’re spending a night in Reno, Nevada over the Thanksgiving holiday, I tried it out myself. After typing ‘Reno, NV’ into the city search, I clicked ‘indoor pool’, the requirement most important to me, which narrowed my search down to two hotels in the area of the city I wanted. I then read through dozens of reviews on each (all on one site).
