It’s our hope that our new design will make planning your travels with kids even easier, but don’t let the great graphics, easy to use listings, and fun new giveaways fool you: Pit Stops for Kids is still a site for parents, by parents…in other words, it’s your travel resource through and through!

To that end, we’re excited to announce The 50 Pit Stops Challenge! Between now and the end of May, our goal is to have 50 new pit stops submitted by you, the reader! Why 50? Well, there are 50 states worth seeing, aren’t there?! I’m certain that wherever you live, you know of at least one great place to stop and play with kids!

Submitting a pit stop is easy. Using our simple form (to the right!), you can submit your favorite pit stop in about 30 seconds! All it takes is a few words (3-4 lines of text), and you’re done! There’s no requirement that you be a gifted writer, and no need to look up information you’ve forgotten (we’ll do that for you!). All we need is the name of the pit stop, the closest interstate or highway, and why your family loves it. If you have photos you’d like to see featured, we’ll publish those as well!

But wait, there’s more! I know you want to submit your pit stops out of the goodness of your heart (and to the greater good of parents everywhere), but there’s something in it for you, as well. Every usable pit stop submitted will be published on the site with your name (if desired) and personal or professional website or blog credited (if applicable). In addition, for every pit stop you submit in a given month, you’ll automatically be entered in our Monthly Sponsor Giveaway.
