The importance of a trusty day pack to family travel cannot be emphasized enough, which is why I was happy for the opportunity to try the North Face Jester, just one of many packs offered by CSN Stores. If you’re not familiar with CSN, which I have to admit I was not, I encourage you to go check it out: it’s basically over 200 stores in one site, giving you access to the best prices and selection on everything from furniture to clothing to luggage in one location. They have hundreds of pages of backpacks alone! I’ve ordered two items from them within the last two weeks, and have found their service excellent and their shipping fast.
The North Face Jester fits all my criteria for the perfect family day pack because it’s roomy without being too large (the bigger the pack, the more you stuff into it and have to carry!), has a detachable waist strap (for when you do load it up), water bottle pockets, and just enough outer compartments to to make organization a breeze (without forgetting where you put everything). My favorite feature, however, is the elastic cord along the back which holds discarded jackets and hats with ease.
My only problem with the Jester is it’s stylishness: my 6th grader has declared it ‘very cool’ and is threatening to take it off my hands as his school bag!
As I mention during any review opportunity, the Jester day pack was sent to Pit Stops for Kids by CSN Stores at no cost. While we greatly appreciate this opportunity to try a quality product, this compensation came with no guarantee of a positive review.
