It’s that time of year: time for the Passports with Purpose annual fundraiser! If you’re a global traveler, or just think globally, I hope you’ll consider giving to this fantastic cause.

Last year, Passports with Purpose raised over $50,000 to build a village (yes, an entire village!) in India. This year, they’ve set their sights even higher, with a goal to raise $80,000 to build two libraries for children in Zambia through a partnership with Room To Read. As a reading specialist, parent, and family traveler, I can’t tell you how worthy a cause this is to me.
I’m proud to say that this December, Pit Stops for Kids will be supporting Passports with Purpose with a prize donation for the third year running. We’re nearly as excited about our procurement as we are about the cause: two adult 1-Day Go City Cards from Smart Destinations to the city of your choice, a prize valued at $120-150, depending on destination city!*

Since first reviewing Smart Destinations’ multi-attraction passes last summer, I’ve recommended them time and again. Available in 14 destinations across North America (including Boston, Blue Ridge, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Maui, Miami, New York City, Oahu, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Toronto), Go City Cards offer vacationing families steep discounts at dozens of city attractions (upward of 50 per city!). In addition to being a great value for families planning to see numerous sights, Go City Cards offer:
Time saving benefits: card-holders enjoy front of the line access at many admission desks and ticketing booths.
Flexibility: families can use their Go Card USA: Discount Attraction Passes within a two week window (of their choosing). No need to plan exactly which days you’ll tour which attractions! Plus, card-holders get unlimited visits to any attraction per day!
Convenience: ticketing booths need only swipe Go City Cards to permit entry, and Smart Destinations’ wide selection of attractions ensure a fit for any sized or aged family.
My family and I have personally used Smart Destinations’ multi-attraction passes throughout New York City, Boston, and Los Angeles, and when it comes time to plan our upcoming visit to San Francisco, I’ll be returning to the Smart Destinations’ website to decide which of their many types of cards will fit our vacation style.
If your family is planning to visit any one of the 14 cities covered by Go City Cards, Pit Stops for Kids invites you to take part in the Passports with Purpose fundraiser for a chance to win the two 1-day Go City passes!
*No blackout dates or other restrictions apply. Winner to choose the city of their choice, after which the Go Card passes will be emailed immediately and directly from Smart Destinations.

Looks like a very worthy project. Love the idea of libraries in places like Africa.
The Go Card pass would be perfect for our trip to New York.
