On every trip I take with my family, I take hundreds of photos. Some of these photos are for reviews, of course, but a vast majority are taken to document my family’s enjoyment of our vacation. The problem is, these photos then proceed to sit on my computer, unseen! One of my upcoming New Years resolutions is to finally catch up on creating digital albums of our family travel photos. I downloaded My Memories and put it to use scrapbooking the photos from a recent visit to Brasada Ranch in Bend OR. I don’t like a lot of patterns or embellishment on my vacation pages, so I opted to use one of My Memories’ simpler traditional prepared layouts for my album, which includes photo layouts, but not detailed design. I can always add papers or labels later. (My other options included one of many themed patterned albums or a blank album…which seemed a little intimidating.)
I don’t have a lot of time to scrapbook my vacation photos, so a software program that’s quick and easy while still offering a polished finished product is important to me. The first time I opened My Memories, I was able to get right to work. Note the convenient Control Panel located on the right-hand side, and access to the My Memories store on the left-hand side.
In only 20 minutes, I had created my first 12×12 page. (Several sizes are available in most formats.) As mentioned above, I like simple pages, but My Memories has the capacity to get much more detailed.
Favorite features of My Memories software:
1. Uploading photos from iPhoto is easy.
2. Resizing, repositioning, and rotating photos is easy.
3. It’s possible to export pages one at a time in .jpg format. (No need to create a whole album if you don’t need to.)
4. Everything is customizable.

I have a question about this software. Does it accurately import png files? I like to get clipart from various websites but my current software doesn’t import png. Would you mind emailing me the answer?
